design
Oynx is an alien creature design I made for a story. I needed a creature that would appear strong and sturdy. I wanted it to have a shapeshifting tail that would respond to situations it encounters.
I was glad that I color-tested the design. In my head, I was attached to the white/gold color palette, but I found myself liking the darker color scheme better. It suited the darker nature of the creature.
These are my test runs in finding the design. I took a liking to the shorter legs and bulkier build.
