This illustration was a commission. I was eager to accept it because I’d never drawn sand or a camel before and was excited to do so. It was a challenge to complete this drawing, but it was worthwhile.
I had a detailed paragraph of text that would represent the scene that my client wanted me to portray. This is the thumbnail that was chosen.
